ZAGG takes matters of product compliance seriously and that in an effort to be compliant with a California law that requires manufacturers to label products that contain even a small trace of any chemical that is on the list.
1. Prop 65 is a California state law. Its actual title is “Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act”.
2. A manufacturer who sells products in the state of CA is required to comply with the law.
3. There are 900+ chemicals listed in the regulations. If a product contains any of these chemicals, a manufacturer must provide the warning on the packaging and product webpage.
4. Some of the chemicals listed in the law are chemicals that naturally occur in plastics and therefore, most mobile device accessories contain at least one of these chemicals.
5. Almost all restaurants, stores, and products in the state of California contain the Prop 65 warning
